Description
1863 Farmers and Merchants Almanac.
This almanac has not been reproduced in the past, it has just been scanned, cleaned and printed here in our Gettysburg studio.
Cover colors may vary from images above.
The Central Pennsylvania edition bears the imprint of Samuel H. Buehler's Book and Drug which was located in the first block of Chambersburg Street in Gettysburg in 1863.
SIZED PER ORIGINAL! Handsewn Binding. Corner string for hanging.
This reprint is full of patent medicine information.
Albert Baker was a Cincinnati, Ohio physician in the 1840's & 50's who marketed "Dr. Baker's Pain Panacea" and gave Amon Scovil sole agency for his compounded medicines.
Together they produced Farmers and Mechanics Almanacs for many areas of the United States, many of which survive today.
